Telect's CIP Enables Simple T1 Circuit Demarcation and Testing in Wireless Backhaul Applications
Telect's Customer Interface Panel (CIP) enables simple T1 demarcation, circuit testing, troubleshooting and maintenance in wireless and traditional wireline backhaul applications. Get all the details in this brief video.
This compact 1 RU panel incorporates RJ48X interface ports, which passively loop back the T1 circuit when an RJ cable is not connected to the corresponding port. This enables the testing of the circuit from the NOC or head end to the Telect panel - and back again.
Using the passive loopback feature, a service provider can perform pre-service testing before turning up the circuit, eliminating the need for a truck roll to the site. For simple, remote troubleshooting, the technician can remove the plug from the appropriate RJ jack, which will isolate the location of the problem to either transport or local.
When connected to a DSX-1 panel, the provider can monitor both directions of the signal from a single location, greatly simplifying troubleshooting.
All of these capabilities help to significantly reduce operational expenses and simplify ongoing maintenance, whether backhaul is occurring between a remote site and a central office, MTSO, head-end or other facility.

- High power capacity – dual-feed 600A input and eight output positions per side; manage power to multiple routers with one 4 RU panel.
- Ideal for core equipment – the load center panel is an ideal power management solution for routers in SONET, ATM, LAN/WAN or high-density Ethernet topologies.
- Dual-lug input connections – enable the use of higher voltage cables, or parallel input cables, to minimize voltage drop.
- Flexibility – Choose single-pole or double-pole circuit breakers, TPC fuses or TPS/TLS fuses for high-current distribution.

Telect's Complete Line of Wall-Mount Solutions Simplifies Telco Closet Installations
Telco closet applications present unique challenges. Space is limited. Products must mount to a backboard. Yet signal delivery and other required functions are absolutely critical to the performance of the network.
This video details Telect's comprehensive range of products, systems and solutions optimized for telco closet/backboard applications.
For fiber optic demarcation, for example, Telect provides wall-mount patch panels with separate lockable compartments for customer and provider fiber. Multifunctional connectivity panels enable DSX-1, DSX-3, optical and Ethernet patching in a single compact unit, providing ample capacity in typical low circuit count applications without sacrificing space.
For service delivery, Telect wall-mount media converters deliver DS3 or Ethernet signals to different floors or locations over fiber, eliminating the distance and performance issues of copper cabling. Telect's Ethernet service delivery platform includes a wall-mount Gigabit Ethernet access switch and associated Category 5e patch panels, all in a footprint that's ideal for backboards.
Finally, Telect's unique wall-mount GMT fuse panel is compact and lightweight, with just a 2-inch depth to fit in any closet environment. CableLinks(r) articulating cable management links provide a flexible solution any application.
All of these products, systems and solutions are available today from Telect.
