Dedicated to performance. And key standards.
At Telect, our dedication to quality has been a key component of our strategic vision since day one. Today, all of Telect's facilities worldwide are certified to ISO 9001 standards. Our Liberty Lake, Wash. global headquarters, Plano, Texas manufacturing facility, and Guadalajara, Mexico assembly operation have also achieved TL 9000 certification.

RoHS Compliance
The EU Directive 2002/95/EC Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) is aimed at reducing the hazardous materials content in electrical and electronic products. It specifically prohibits or restricts the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated biphenyl ethers (PBDE).
Telect has a strong history of compliance with both US and international environmental requirements. We have collaborated with both industry peers and suppliers and have put a dedicated project team together that is engaged to ensure the performance and reliability of all products are consistent with both Telect standards and environmental requirements. Through this effort, Telect has achieved compliance to both the European RoHS directive (5 of 6, effective July 1, 2006), and the Chinese RoHS directive (effective March 1, 2007).

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE) addresses the problem of product recycling and requires products to be labeled to identify participation in the program. To comply with the WEEE directive, Telect has incorporated use of the EU-approved "double-crossed wheelie bin" symbol, affixed to Telect products when delivered into all European countries.
As Telect continues with further compliance efforts for the WEEE directive, we will seek to identify and establish relationships with designated collection facilities (DCF's) for a product takeback program, along with authorized treatment facilities (ATF's) to process WEEE and provide evidence to producers on the amount of WEEE received for treatment.
Additional Standards
NEBS Compliance
Telect products engineered to NEBS specifications meet the most common set of safety and performance standards utilized in the United States. NEBS guidelines include construction standards that maintain performance after storms, earthquakes and other acts of nature. For users, choosing Telect products built to NEBS standards helps ensure reliability and high quality. Learn more about NEBS here.
UL Listing
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standards focus on safety (primarily electrical). Standard Telect fuse panels, circuit breaker panels and battery distribution frames all are UL listed. Learn more about UL here.
CE Marking
CE Marking for products and systems ensures compliance with the applicable European laws covering safety, health and environmental protection. Key Telect products engineered for the European Economic Area meet CE marking standards. Learn more about CE here.
ETSI Standards
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) establishes broad-based standards for communications equipment. Telect's ETSI-compliant products adhere to guidelines for footprint, sizing, performance and other factors. Learn more about ETSI here.
