Barely a week after announcing Austin as their second fiber city for gigabit connectivity, Google announced its intention to put Provo, Utah on the map as their third city for Google Fiber.

We think the announcement may have gone down something like this:

(Conversation from Ocean's 11):

Turk Malloy: Saul, do you make it out to Utah much?

Saul Bloom: Not as often as I'd like.

Turk Malloy: I think you should check it out. Think you'd dig Provo. Think you could do very well there.

Saul Bloom: I'll look into it.

With Google's plan to build a fiber network boasting "up to 100x faster Internet than today’s average broadband speeds," everybody's going to be digging Provo now. ...more

If you've spent time considering potential energy management solutions for data centers, you've probably also spent time studying complicated installation guides and involved monitoring processes.

Telect's CFlow™ simplifies data center energy management—from solution installation to maintenance. CFlow™ installation takes minutes.

Telect released the universal (standalone) CFlow™ and Carrier in August, 2012. With its temperature-responsive, color-shifting properties, the dynamic 7-foot plastic strip exhibits a real-time temperature map, providing the data that technicians require to optimize hot aisle/cold aisle temperatures (and save HVAC energy and costs.)

The CFlow™ is inexpensive, simple to install, and simple to maintain...more

Telect releases the universal CFlow strip.

It's green. Fiscally green, environmentally green, and—at room temperature—physically green.

Earlier this summer, when Telect released the CFlow as an accessory to their Data Center Rack product line, Shalini Jagadish (from Data Center Talk) wrote, "The industry is raving..." about the "...efficient energy management tool..." from Telect. Also labeled a temperature map, hot aisle/cold aisle solution, (and one of Telect's favorites), the “chameleon strip,” the CFlow moves to the forefront of the industry as a simple solution to complex data center thermal monitoring...more
