Multi-Dwelling / Tenant
Distributed Configuration
In this configuration, fiber-optic cable is terminated in the unit (UDF in condo or apartment) as opposed to the BDF or IDF. A Telect SDP1000 access switch or another vendors ONT is utilized to terminate the fiber and provide service delivery. By using the correct optically fed switch or ONT, the service provider can deliver all IP services with prioritization that will enable proper viewing of IP video, quality VoIP phone calls, and greatly expanded control of Internet services for both the service provider and end user.
