Multi-Dwelling / Tenant
Centralized Configuration
This configuration terminates all service outlets into a smaller chassis in the individual unit (UDF), along with 5-8 feeder cables for service trunking (trunk cables from IDF to UDF). The primary MDU / MTU FTTX service delivery switch is located in the IDF. This switch terminates all services in the IDF (service provider demarc) via incoming fiber. All services are then cross-connected to individual units via the feeder cables.

How Telect's Centralized Network Configuration Increases Efficiency in MDU/MTUs
Telect provides the most versatile and efficient service delivery solutions for multi-dwelling/multi-tenant unit applications. This video details how a centralized distribution configuration creates a flexible, highly cost-effective platform for delivering advanced services, with Telect products and systems forming the core of the network. Key benefits include the use of intermediate distribution frames to manage the distance limitations of Cat5 cable, while allowing service providers to maximize the efficiency of deployed switches.
